10 interview answers that actually land

By TalentCoy Editorial

Most interview answers fail because they are too short or too vague. A good answer tells a small, specific story and reflects briefly on what you learned.

Use STAR + reflection: Situation, Task, Action, Result, Reflection. Keep each part to a sentence or two so you stay under 90 seconds.

Practice out loud, but do not memorise word-for-word. Confidence comes from owning the story, not reciting it.

Final checklist

  • Have 5-7 stories prepared that cover most behavioural questions
  • Tie each story to a real outcome and a real lesson
  • Prepare 2-3 thoughtful questions for the interviewer
  • Confirm logistics 24 hours in advance
